Default Washer leaks below agitator
Brand: Amana
Model Number: LW9203W/L2
Age: 5 - 10 years

Second Sears technician says washer needs replaced after installing a new pump ordered by the first technician. This repair was made after reporting the washer was leaking water to my TotalProtect Home Service Plan on May 28th, 2007. It is now three weeks and TotalProtect is still dragging their feet on a settlement. I filled the washer with water and put the washer in spin and looked under the washer basket while the basket emtied. Water poured from under the agitator at a fast rate, while in spin cycle. Would that be a bad gasket or are there other parts involved? Unit is nine years old. Sears tech estimated repair cost at $610.00 and recommended replacing unit to TotalProtect. Think that's why they are dragging their feet. Any suggestions? thanks.

With the front panel of the washer off and looking at the motor, pump, belt, tranny area, you can see water pouring from under the tub ONTO THE FLOOR when the washer is in spin cycle.
