Default Washer leaks around transmission and agitator shaft
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lat9356aae
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a washer that is leaking around the shaft of the transmission where it enters the tub. I believe I need the tub stem seal to fix this, however if I am already there should I go ahead and replace the tub bearing(PS60151) or is this not a common leak point? Thanks for the help

If you had a leak around the shaft it is wise to replace the bearing as there may have been damage to the bearing.

Here is a link to your washer model lat9356aae.
