Default Washer leaking
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: sav2555aww
Age: 1 - 4 years

As I start to fill up my machine once it gets half way it really starts leaking out of the bottom of the machine. Lots of water comes out. What could this be and how much appx to fix? Is worth my while to just get a new machine? Also it is supposed to have a quiet pack but it is pretty loud. Please help.

Hi,

I would check to see if the tub seal is leaking.
With it getting noisy the tub bearings maybe be getting wet.

If everything come apart ok I can do one in 20-30 minutes.

expensive? Hard to say what the rates are in your area.

It would not be one of the cheaper repair jobs that could be done, like a water pump.

You really need to take the cover off to check. You should have no trouble finding the leak. If your lucky it will be the water pump, but with it being noisy to you maybe looking at something more like the tub seal and bearings.
