Its a sears washer with cold rinse only. ok, it works fine until it gets to the rinse cycle then stops, the timer doesn't even keep going. If i turn the timer by hand, the rinse cycle still wont start, any ideas?

Your washer won't go any farther till it fills with rinse water, switch the wires on the water valves, and see if it fills with hot water and then proceeds to finish rinse cycle. If this test works buy a new water valve
