Default Washer gets stuck and cuts off during a cycle
Brand: Kenmore
Age: 5 - 10 years

My washing machine turns off during a cycle, and I have to pull slightly on the knob to get it to come back on and continue washing. It stops several times, and not necessarily in the same place each time. Is this something I can fix myself?

The timer will have to be replaced.

Can you please supply your model number?

Hi Sheila,

Thanks for your note. It is a Kenmore Heavy Duty 80. On the inside of the lid it says Stylemaster 902202 Rev C.

Thanks!
Shawn

Your model number should start with a 110 and the 6 to 8 number after that.

It should be on a tag with the serial number.

The tag should be around the opening of the washer.

Hi,
I took another look, and there is no label with a number like that.
Everything is printed on the washing machine itself, with the numbers I
put in my first message. Would 80 be the model number? It says that on
the outside (Kenmore Heavy Duty 80).

No the 80 would be a series number of some sort.

If you open up the control panel there should be a part number on the timer.
