Default Washer fills and drains at same time..
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LSQ9030PQ5
Age: 1 - 4 years

The washer runs the water but it drains it at the same time. It started by filling with water, then stopping at the rinse cycle. It would then sometimes not spin. Now it just runs water but drains it at the same time. I know that its not leaking. Is this the timer switch that tells the washer to go to the next cycle? OR does it sound like a drain tube problem. I read on on site that it was a switch selector, but I cant find that anywhere on my model. Is that the same as the timer switch? Any help would be much appreciated.

It sounds like the washer is siphoning itself out.

Check and make sure the drain hose is as high as the top of the washer.

Here is a link to your washer model LSQ9030PQ5.

That worked! But now the spin cycle makes the washer move and bang all around... Have I gotten this thing off balance or what? How do I fix it? THanks

Observe the drum and base during spin to locate movement and use the diagram posted above to see what it is.

I think I fixed it...There was a load of wet towels that had been sitting in there, once I moved them around and made the tub level, it ran fine. I hope this works, and thanks for your help!
