Cool Washer fills and agitates but Will Not Spin or pump water out
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LSQ9110KQ1
Age: 5 - 10 years

Washer is filling, agitates while washing, but will not pump water out or spin.
I don't know if it is the pump or a control.

I checked and the water will run out usin ghte hose. I took a screwdriver and manipulated the lid switch up and down and the spin and pump started working. This looks like a bad lid switch I believe.

Hi,

Bad lid switch sounds about right.

I replaced the timer. Still doing the same thing. Tried the lid switch and it jumped, but would not stay running long enough to spin & drain.

Check for a bad connection on the motor plug.

Thank you for the reply. I've been moving around the lib switch and it has wroked.
As long as I'm holding it. Now trying to figure out best way to get at it. Has screws at each corner. Only way to get at they from bottom?

You will need to remove the washer cabinet.

Default Lid switch

I have same problem agitates, will not spin or pump out water.
I attempted to wiggle lid switch and it fell apart in my hand. Is there a simple way to bypass switch, like just connecting the two wires together? Or, should I get another switch?
