Default Washer drum always unlevel
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 5 - 10 years

My washer is level, but the drum is not. It is visibly tilted. When it is filling with water, it often spills out missing the drum causing the floor to get a large puddle on it. The washer washes the clothing fine, but when it comes to the spin cycle it slams ferociously. How is this problem fixed?

Kind Regards,
Kendra

The spring on the bottom broke, it pulls the tub to the rear to fill properly, and keep the tub centered, you can tip the washer enought to see the problem.
Sometimes thr spring wears through the metal in the frame and all you need to do is drill a new hole next to the old one and re-connect the spring

Thank you. I'll have my husband try that.
