Default Washer Drains intermittently
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: A510
Age: More than 10 years

Sometimes I open the washer only to find the tub filled with water. After several tries of setting the dial back to rinse it will fully drain. At times the timer even passes the spin cycle (within the normal wash cycle) and I have found the machine still running while in the middle of the Perm Press cycle. Mechanically it seems to be able to properly drain but wondering if the electronics are the problem?

If you are using the normal cycle and find the timer in the perm press cycle then you have a problem with timer.

Here is a link to your washer model A510.
