this washer is just 4 months old (to the day) and i noticed today when it went from the wash cycle to spin it made a weird sound like it was trying to spin but didnt....it did drain the water but no spin.....after i opened the lid the washer started the spin cycle, it did this same thing after the rinse cycle just drained water made the off sounding sound and then opened the lid and it started spinning..it worked fine for the final spin cycle.
i hope this makes sense.. I will call whirlpool tomorrow but want to know what to expect beforehand(i knew i should have bought the service plan from best buy!

This could be in the timer or it could be the lid switch.
