My 8 year old crosley washer doesn't always spin. It starts the spin cycle, and then sometimes only drains the water. If you stop it and grab the agitator and turn it until it is tight, then it will spin, usually, but not always, and not always at full speed. Can you help identify the problem.

With the washer empty tip it back and look under where the pulley is.

Remove the cup in the center of the pulley.

Turn the pulley counter clock wise with a quick spin and see if the white cam is engaging.
