Default Washer clutch spring/oil
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 29821
Age: More than 10 years

After disassembling my Kenmore washer to replace the broken drive belt, I have forgotten exactly where to reattach the clutch spring. I coded and marked all the parts and where they went, but oil erased the mark for where the spring should go. Which brings up an even bigger problem...while the machine was on its side for repair, presumably ALL the oil (about a cup) leaked out. How/where do I add oil and what kind? This machine is at least 25 years old and I haven't been able to find a manual. The belt and motor are working, now, but the machine won't agitate without the clutch spring in place, and it won't run for long without oil. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

Here is the where the spring goes.

The only way to put oil back in these transmission is to split the transmission in half.

There will be enough oil in the transmission.

Thank you so very much!!! I think the diagram will allow me to get the spring back on in the right place. I don't think I can get the oil back in. Did you mean there should be enough oil still left in it? I hope so! Thanks, again.
