Default Washer basket tilting, gunk on clothes
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.28882790
Age: More than 10 years

The basket of our Kenmore 80 series washer tilts slightly forward, even when the machine is not running. None of the suspension springs or counterweight spring are broken or unattached. What could be causing this problem? Also, is there any easy way to get the washer basket up out of the liner in order to clean the inside of the liner where some gunk seems to have built up?

The pads on the base could be worn.

To get at the build up you will have to remove the agitator and then remove the tub nut.
