Default Washer bangs and shakes...
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.24872300
Age: 1 - 4 years

Not exactly sure how old this washer is, came with the house. Looks pretty new.

It makes a lot of noise during spin and shakes like crazy. Sounds like a very unbalanced load but it happens every time.

I have the Repair Parts List that came with the washer but I can't seem to find any springs or anything that looks like it might dampen the vibration.

Thanks

There are three suspension springs and a counter balance spring.

The counter balance spring is locate at the rear of the washer and is hooked in to the base of the washer.

The three suspension springs are hook to the support and then to the base.

Here is a link to the part of your washer model 110.24872300.

Here are the suspension springs.

The counter balance spring is about 6 and a half inches long. The part number for the spring is ps733376.

Thank you! I just ordered all four springs. They'll be here next week and I'll let everyone know the outcome.

Well I replaced the 4 springs this morning. Gave everything a good "looking at" when I had the washer turned over....everything looks new under there. But she still does the same thing during the spin cycle.

The only thing I noticed while moving the washer around is that the "floor" the previous home owner built to keep the appliances off the concrete is pretty flexed out (not very sturdy). Could this be causing the problem? If the feet of the washer don't have a solid base?
