Default Washer banging and bouncing
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WJRR4170G1WW
Age: Less than 1 year

Bought washer at Lowe's 9 months ago, it frequently has gotten off balance when using but now it does it all the time. I noticed slivers of plastic in the washer, like where the top of the drum is rubbing. I opened to fron't cover and don't see anything out of place, or loose. So what could the problem be? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Default WJRR4170G1WW Loud Banging

I have the same problem. I bought mine from Lowe's 5 months ago and had constant balance problems. Now it "jumps" and makes loud banging even when I try to run it empty and plastic from inner ring appears shredded. I am hoping this is not an expensive repair or is under warranty....

the tub in mine is very wobbly and can be moved a great deal back and forth by hand, also doesnt appear to be centered in the machine

is there an adjustment?

If your washers are 5,and 9 months old,are your warrantees still in afect? If so have them repaired under your warranty

not trying to be critical here Betty, but isnt this a site to get answers on how to resolve issues ourselves?

not everyones schedule affords us the flexability to waste a half or entire day waiting on a repair man to show up at his/her convienance, obviously if was as simple as a warranty repair we wouldnt be asking for help on how to resolve the issue ourselves
