Default Washer
Brand: Roper
Age: 1 - 4 years

We recently perchased a new time, thought that was the problem. But when we put the new timer in, we had the same problem. Problem is the washer will not engage to the wash mode. It fills up with water, but won't continue. Any suggestions?

Can you please supply your model number?

Does it drain and spin on its own?

The washer is a roper, model #RAX4232KQO.

It doesn't do anything. When you pull and push the timer knob, it almost wants to work, but doesn't. On several occations I almost got it to start. It kick in and right back out again.

thanks Del

Is the motor running or is it humming?

Does the washer drain if you advance the timer to the spin cycle?

No motor doesn't hum, nor does it drain. It does nothing. When i pull the timer knob in and out, it tries to engage but then doesn't. It's as if something else is keeping it from engaging
