I assume this is the new style washer with the front removable panel. Just release the retainer clips on the top of panel and pull away.
Losten all four motor nuts and pull back motor to tighten belt. Make sure the belt has no bad burn spots on it.
Also, if your washer motor is the old style with a clutch housing you may have a worn clutch. This happens if your spin bearings are bad. If they are you can verify this by looking above the tranny for telltale water marks.
