Default Waher begins Cycle and then stops!!! Newbie Needs Help Clothes Stink!!!
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: A9700
Age: 5 - 10 years

I am trying to get my washer to work.... Whatever cycle you set it at the washer will begin to start the cycle and then shut off after about a minute of working. When you being the wash cycle is will begin to fill up and then stop. Same during the rinse ect. I opened it up and everything looks to be alright nothing broke or missing. My friend and I moved it out of storage a month ago and installed when I found out it didn't work. The water extraction system has been replaced several years ago. Pleae help a Newbie out my clothes are begining to stink!

Pull the front panel off (two screws on the bottom) and see what is happening. Sometimes the motor rollers will get jamed and the belt will slip. Pull tranny belt off and verify the pully will turn both directions without too much effort. Also make sure the motor wires are all connected. Verify there is nothing jamming the pump also.
