Very stupid question

Brand: Maytag
Age: 5 - 10 years

ok.My washer is leaking from the back left corner.I took off the hoses and assembly so I could see inside.I can see a hose clamp that is dripping.YES.......I found the proplem .all I have to do is tighten the clamp a little.BUT WAIT< now I face another problem.............how do I tack the damn top off the washer??????
please please help

Here is a link with some service manuals
Free Appliance Repair Forum - Downloads

Find your model number and either post it or just looj it up at partselect
they may have a parts breakdownwhich will let you figure out how to do it
