Red face Tub Nut Removal
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WPSE4200AOWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

I am trying to remove the inner tub nut so as to be able to change the tub seal. I know it is a left hand thread. I have tried with a pipe wrench and hammer but the tub and transmission shaft turn before the nut breaks loose. Any information as to how to hold the tub and shaft still while loosening the nut without tearing something up would be useful. Any tricks or short cuts also helpful.

Thanks

Kennyl

Try using some penetrating fluid around the nut.

Have someone hold the tub.

Here is a link to your washer model WPSE4200AOWW.
