Default Tub banging during spin
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: series 80
Age: 5 - 10 years

Tub bangs so badly during the spin that the washer walks across the floor.
When machine is off you can reach in and move tub back and forth very easily. I have checked the springs on the bottom of the tub and they seem to be ok.
Has just recently started doing this.

Can you please supply your model number.

It should be on a tag in the opening of the washer where you put the clothes.

There should be a forth spring that is attached to the base.

This is a counter balance spring.

Here is a link to the parts of your washer model 11028812790.

Here is the counter balance spring.
