Default Timer Knob on Inglis Washer won't pull out
Brand: Inglis
Model Number: VO44083
Age: More than 10 years

Inglis washer worked fine. Next time around, I could not pull out control knob on timer dial to start washer. Seems to be stuck in off position.

Can you please verify your model number?

Will the timer still move when you turn the dial?

Default Timer knob on Inglis

Model Number of Inglis Superb is VO 44083 (which on basis of parts list, I assume is equivalent of 44000 or 44080).

My previous reply was incomplete. Model Number of Inglis Superb is VO 44083 (which I deduce from parts list is equivalent to 44000 or 44080) Timer dial moves freely, but since I cannot pull out knob, washer will not engage. It seems to be a mechanical fault - i.e. jamming of knob.

If you have the old metal style timer you can take it apart and fix. Also, you can try a small amount of wd-40 on back of timer at the shaft.
