Question Thumps & Bangs on Spin Cycle
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 27672600
Age: 1 - 4 years

Kenmore 600 Series Heavy Duty, Super Capacity washer.
When the spin cycle starts the washer thumps and makes alot of noise and viberates across the floor. Checked everything and still nothing. Where can I find a diagram to show me the parts? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can you please verify your model number?

The model number should be on a tag under the lid of the washer with the serial number.

Is the washer US or Canadian?

The Serial # is ct3440205.
Model # is 110.2767.2600
The machine was purchased at Sears in Canada. It was shipped from Quebec I believe.

Thank You

Because your washer is a Canadian model I don't have a breakdown of your specific model.

You can use this one as a Reference Only lsq9010kq0.

It sound like the counter balance spring may have came on hooked or the legs at the back need to be re-leveled.

First try leveling the back legs by tilting the washer forward and then setting it down.

If the washer is still off balance and walking check to see if the counter balance spring came on hooked.

The counter balance spring is about 5 to 6 inches long and goes from the tub support to the base at the back.

You will have to tip the washer back to see it because the back of the washer does not come off.

These washer are known as front service washer so to service the washer the cabinet comes off.

I did read almost every posted in the forum before we started. I did check the spring, it was great, so were the three bigger springs under the tub. We tried many times lifting the washer and leveling the legs. It stays level. It seems that the second spin cycle is the worst. The problem seems to be getting worse as time goes on. We tired different item under the machine as we were instructed to do by the repair man. That didn't work either. If you have any other ideas we sure would appreciate them.

Did the washer do this from the time that you got it or did it just start?

What type of floor is the washer on?

Are the clothes going to one side when it goes out of balance?

What are the things you have tried under the washer?

Did the repair man check the wear pads?

The washer seemed to work fine at first, it started about 4 months ago and is still doing it.
The washer is stilling on carpet. We have a minihome and it is in the porch area. We have also tried a 2x8 square under it to see if that would help, it didn't.
Yes the clothes are stuck to the sides when the cycle is finished.
I don't remember the mention of wear pads. Would they be on the bottom of the "feet". One of ours has a tare in it. The machine fell off the wooden platform that we made for it. I have tried different setting and we still get the same results. This washer does 2 loads everyday. It is possible that it is wearing out?

Thanks.
Tina

The wear pad are found between the base and the skate plate.

These pad could be worn.

Here is the pads.
