Hello. My washer recently began making some loud, fast ticking sort of noises. It does this almost the entire cycle. It sounds like something moving very fast so I'm leaning toward it being a motor issue. Under the washer I found alot of black rubber dust. I need a better view, but I've never taken apart a washer before and don't know how to get the thing apart. I assume that the back stays on and the front and side surround is removed, but I am clueless on how to do it. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Chris.

It sounds like you need a coupler to me. The pump has to come out, and the motor, and the couipler is in between the motor, and the transmission. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
