Question Stuck on spin cycle
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 82681110
Age: More than 10 years

Machine was working fine- went to put in a 2nd load & it just started to spin. I unplugged it and tried again on a different setting, it did the same thing. Not sure what to do? Any ideas??

Sounds like the cycle timer behind the knob will need replaced as it works as a clock and switches the differnt cycles as the timer turns, once the door switch is closed.

If you let it run it will click thru the cycles and eventually switch off when it gets to the OFF cycle. But when I turn the knob to the wash cycle no water comes out, it just starts spinning?

another possible answer would be the transmission lever is stuck in the spin cycle or the spin cycle contactsin the timer are stuck closed and continue the continue the spin request. The washing machine will need a good mechanic/technician to give you hands on and up close look at your machine to properly find the problem. The model number you gave goes back to same models for 20 years and the price of service may not be as good as the price of a replacement machine. You will need to plan your options ahead as the machine is expensive to repair if you choose the wrong service tech. Hope this helps, Sea Breeze
