Default Stopped running and oil all over floor
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mav6250aww
Age: 5 - 10 years

my washer stopped with the tub full of water... I drained the water and when I looked under the washer the oil was all over the floor. Do I need a whole new transmission? Is the motor okay?

When the washer stopped what was the cause of it stopping?

The oil seal can be replaced.

Is the transmission seized?

Here is a link to your washer model mav6250aww.
