Default Start of spin cycle makes noise
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LWA05AW
Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi. My washing machine is making a loud noise in the spin cycle. The noise is not there during the agitation. It STARTS when the water starts draining. The tub does not spin. It looks like the spin pulley (part 10 in the diagram) is spinning over top the white plastic helix drive lug (part 15). The lug barely spins, but the spin pulley is spinning fast. That is the source of noise.

Any ideas on what I need to fix it?
