Lightbulb Stacked Washer/Dryer Washer no power
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 3394715
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello,

First off I searched but could not find any topics. If this is a common problem please point me in the right direction.

I have a combo Kenmore Washer/Dryer unit and the washer part just stopped working. Dryer still works fine.

Took off panels and traced 120volts from back of unit to timer (running on black/white power cable). When trying to trace any electricity coming out of the timer further down the line I cannot see any after spinning timer full 360 multiple times (I tested on red which I assume is hot and leads to power if I am reading the diagram correctly).

Is there any way to test the timer or should I just replace the timer? Am I testing it the correct way?

Advice greatly appreciated for this lower income student

If the washer is totally dead try jumping out the door switch. If the door switch is bad, the whole unit will not function. I can be reached at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

I apologized for leaving that part out. I did jump the door switch with no results.

I would then have to agree with you on replacing the timer. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
