Exclamation Spin cycle doesn't start
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.29852992
Age: 5 - 10 years

I just started having this problem with my washer recently. All of the cycles besides spin cycle work fine, but for some reason, the spin cycle doesn't even start. The washer just goes silent. I have tried it with all settings, delicate, extra delicate, heavy, etc. and still it does not work. For this reason, the water does not properly drain. Any suggestions before I go buy a new one?

If you lift the lid, you'll see a white plastic plunger on the lid and when you close the lid it pushes on the switch to allow the washer to spin. the switch is made of plastic, and if the lid is dropped too fast it can break the switch, and prevent the spin from activating
