Default Spanner Nut base wont come off
Brand: Kenmore
Age: Please select

I've got a stackable washer/dryer and it's torn apart. I took off the spanner nut with a spanner wrench and removed the inner bucket, but in order to get the outer plastic bucket off I need to get the spanner nut base off of the motor drive rod. It looks like it might have two tabs but I can't get them to move. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I remove them all the time, don't be too gentle, just take a normal hammer and tap it upwards 6-10 times, it will slip up and off, dried soap can be a pain in the neck
