Default Slow hot water fill
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 5 - 10 years

My domestic hot water is quite hot. If I turn the washer faucet valves all the way on, the cold water wash is fine and the hot water wash is fine and both fill normally. The warm water cycle is too hot. I have to cut the hot water faucet down quite a lot to get the proper warm water temperature filling the tub. So far so good. But now when I select the hot water wash the tubs fills very slowly. The easy answer is to turn down the domestic hot water temperature but the wife likes it hot. Assuming there is no mechanical repair needed. I guess my question is are there any washers that actually sense the temperature and regulate the water flow automatically?
Thanks in advance.

I would change the water valve first, and yes there are quite a few products out there that sense water temperature. If you need more info, you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
