Default Skipping first spin cycle
Brand: Admiral
Model Number: LNC675971-2
Age: More than 10 years

My Admiral Large Capacity Designer Series Washing Machine is filling, agitating, then bypassing the first spin. Since it is still full of water, there is no refill to rinse, but does agitate. It will then go on to complete the final spin.

Any ideas? It is almost 12 years old... is it worth fixing?

First thing I want you to do is put the washer on a wash cycle, and see if it is getting cold water. If so you need a timer. If not clean the screans in the water valve, and see if it works. When the washer goes into a rince cycle it is cold water. If you don't have cold water coming in, it will advance to the final spin. I just want to be sure, before you buy a new Timer. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
