My washer was new in 1993 and has been a real workhorse. If the agitator needs to be replaced, is it cost effective to do so? It still works great otherwise and I am trying to hold off on replacement until I can afford both a new washer and dryer combo.
If I choose to replace the agitator, can i do it myself?

What makes you think the agitator needs to be replaced?

You may just need new "Dogs" in the agitator if they have never been replaced before.
