Default Roper washer
Brand: Roper
Model Number: ras8333rq0
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a top load roper washer model# ras8333rq0. The lid switch went and it I replaced it. The washer will fill up to the level indicated and that is as far as it will go. I advanced the timer by hand to the spin cycle and it will not do anything. I even tried jumpering the lid switch but that did not work either. Any advice on what the problem could be would be appreciated.

I talked to an electrician buddy of mine and he told me to check the plug going into the motor, it is the white one with about 8 wires on it. So I wiggled it around and the washer started going through all the cycles. I can only imagine that some how the plug was not making full contact. So you may want to check that out on yours.
