I need help replacing the water pump on my Maytag washer. How do I get to it? How do I take off the old pump and install the new unit. Thanks.

To remove the front panel you will have to release the clips holding the top down to get at the screw holding the panel on.

To release the clips use a putty knife and slide it between the top and the front panel about three inches from the side.

In each corner of the panel you will find a 5/16 screw.

With the screws removed move the front panel out and lift up at the same time.

This will disengage the panel from the clips at the bottom.

To remove the pump remove the hoses.

Remove the three screws which Mount the pump assembly to the base.

Slide the pump to the rear to disengage the belt from the pulley.
