Question Replacing washer timer knob
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 82993110
Age: Please select

I just moved into a house where the washer/dryer were included (I don't know the age of them, but it appears they are about 10 years old). My washer knob was broken off before I moved here, so I don't even know what it's supposed to look like. I've done a search of knobs that might fit my machine and several are listed/pictured, but am not sure as to what to get. Are any of the knobs listed for my model number ok to use? How hard/easy is it to replace? Thanks.

Here is a link to parts for tour unit
Kenmore Parts for Models 11082993110

There is a knob on Page 1, click on the Item and you will get a larger view and with some luck advice from people who have used it.

If not the correct knob just scan thru the pages

Thanks for your reply. Now a new question...how do I get the old knob off? It looks like the plastic part has broken off, but a metal shaft (with threads at the top) still is intact. The metal shaft moves freely (i.e., it doesn't loosen or tighten). Thanks.
