Default Replacing tub bearing
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lat9416aae
Age: 5 - 10 years

Just bought a new seal kit and upon installatin i noticed play in the splined shaft where it comes through the outer tub bearing housing which i know i need to replace it with a new bearing kit.Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to replace the bearing,and please dont divert me to look at illustrations,been there done that.thanx

The best thing to do for step by step instructions is go to the library and borrow a repair manual. This will give all the details.

There are pullers need to do this job.

thanx anyway but did the job in about an hour tops.didnt need any pullers at all.fairly easy job.highly recommend anyone to change their tub bearing themselves.if anyone wants a step-by-step procedure just drop a post.NO WOBBLE-NO LEAKS-NO WORRY.

I have used the site Appliance repairs, Appliancehelp, Appliances, repairs to dryers washers dishwashers fridges repairs microwaves ge maytag kenmore frigidaire westinghouse inglis, appliance how to take apart information, purchasing an appliance help, model number help, with very good results. Just look up Maytag seal replacement.
