Default Replacing 3rd Electronic Controller
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 1 - 4 years

Prior to replacing the electronic controller (PS #731638) in my dishwasher for the
3rd time, I would like to find the cause for the failures. The dishwasher will light-up and fill but does not cycle when the controller has failed. The dishwasher runs fine with the new controller for a several months before it too quits working. I have confirmed a failed controller by re-installing and verifying the dishwasher stops cycling after it has filled.

The house wiring is current as it is part of a subdivision that is less than 10 years old. I do not see any trace of water entering into the controller cavity. Besides verifyng all electrical connections are secure and proper through to the breaker panel; I wonder what else could be damaging the controller?

So I've noticed after posting. Problem is I can't seem to delete or move my posting. The administrator's mailbox is full so I was not able to send a request to move or delete it. In the mean time I'll resubmit into the dishwasher forum.
