Question Replacement motor connection doesn't match harness connection
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WSSR2070V1WW
Age: 1 - 4 years

I ordered a replacement motor of my washer. My original wiring harness does not match up with my replacement motor.

The original motor's p/n is WH20X10006. It has a connection plug built into the motor, with 6 wires (red, white, blue, purple, yellow, and orange). The dimensions of the plug is about 1/2" x 2". The connector from the harness matched up easily. The replacement motor has a p/n of WH49X10035. It has 7 wires, same as the original, but with and additional black wire. The connector is shaped much differently, approximately 1" x 1" and round pins.

Is there an adapter kit to match the old harness connect to the new motor connector? Can I splice the wires directly to the new motor, and if so, what do I do with the black wire? Thanks in advance...

Did you take it back to get the correct one where you bought it?
