Default Replaced Timer, Washer Still Slow
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FWT449GFS1
Age: 5 - 10 years

I replaced the timer but the washing machine still stops between cycles and can still take up to 2 hours to finish a load of clothes when normally it took 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. If not the timer, then what?

thanks
Jay

Hi,

How is the water pressure when the washer is filling?
The washer will not advance until it reachs the correct water level.

If your washer fills slow that will add to the time it takes to finish the wash cycle.

If your water pressure is poor remove the hot and cold fill hoses from the back of the washer. Look inside and check the screens to make sure they are clean.
