Here is a link to your washer model fav6800awq.

There are two spring clips that hold the top of the washer down.

Take a putty knife and slide it between the front panel and the top of the washer and push in and up at the same time to release the top.

There is one clip on each side of the washer about two inches in from the side.

This will give you access to inside.
