Default Repair Manual
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WPGT9350CWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

Tried searching but nothing comes up on what I'm looking for. Problem with my Washer is, it doesn't spin all the way to complete the cycle and that leaves the
clothes still wet. Error code shows: "The basket is not slowing down properly. Check the brake (resistor) and motor for proper operation".

I would like to repair it myself if I can. Or does anyone had this problem and
how much it cost to have someone repair it.

Thanks in advance.

When I run into a problem like that I first go to the pump and feel the hoses and remove them. Socks frequently get into the hose draining the tub on GEs.

Without more information on the model, some GEs will spin with water in them some won't.

Nonetheless first place I look is there.

Thanks for your response Jason.

I looked at the drain hose and no obstruction there. The water actually drains
out of the tub, it's just the clothes still wet because it doesn't spin all the way. Here's the code that I get when reset the power.
"The Basket is not slowing down properly. Check the Brake (Resistor) and
Motor for proper operation".

I had a co-worker that had the same problem and Sears fixed by replacing a parts in 5 minutes. They just removed the body cover to get to it. I might be able to fix it if I can find the repair manual.

Modle: GE Harmony WPGT9350. Thanks again in advance.

Did you go the the GE website and see if there was a downloadable manual?

The Service Manual is a purchase only item. I found the manual on Ebay for $15 +S/H. Any way you can review paperwork on your co-worker's repair and see what that reveals? Might be the part was listed there and you can do a search on the diagram to see where it goes.
