Default Removing knob from timer
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 5 - 10 years

I just ordered a timer for my mother's washer. I haven't removed the old timer yet but it seems there might be a trick to getting the knob off. I don't want to force it. Is there something I should know?

Hold the dial down and turn the knob counter clock wise.

Yes turn the knob counter clock wise and it will come off.

Then you will have access to the screws that are holding the timer in place.
