Question From Reading Other Posts.........
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 5 - 10 years

We Were Thinking That Our Problem Might Be The Lid Switch, However, It Agitates And Spins, But The High Spin Won't Work, So Sometimes We Have Water Standing After Cycle Is Over. It Spins On Low No Matter What Setting It's On, But Always Leaves Clothes Soaking.

We've Checked The Coupling And Replaced Water Pump, So That's Out.....

We Think It May Be The Timer Control Switch/pad......what Do You Think???

Thanks In Advance,

Lori

You might have dragging brake shoes. Pull off outer panel, short lid switch and turn timer to spin. You will see the clutch housing above the tranny spin. If it heats up=bad brake shoes.

Does Your Washer Wash On Hi-speed? Or Low Only?
Washer Motor Runs One Direction For Wash(in Hi Or Low Speed) And The Other Direction For Spin Hi Or Low Speed.
They Use 3 Different Motors 5 Wire, 1speed, 6 Wire 2 Speed, And A Motor With A Extra Little Plug To Make A 3 Speed, That Said, You Could Have A burned Out Wire In The Motor Plug. Remove Plug And Look For Burnt Conector For Blackning Or Burnt Spots Let Me Know Bettyboop
