Default Profile Prodigy Washer Died While Filling
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WPSE4200A0WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Washer filled and the power just went dead. For awhile you had to press and hold in the start button for it to turn on. Thought it was just getting stuck. Wife says she never had the problem, maybe just me.

Anyway, power cut off while filling and now it's just dead.

Check the power at the wall outlet.

Check and see if you have power going in the control.

Check to see if there is power coming out of the control.

If there is no power coming out of the control you have a faulty control and it will have to be replaced.

Here is a link to your washer model WPSE4200A0WW.

Left it unpluged for two days, took the control cover off and unscrewed the control panel to look it over, etc and put it all back together. Works fine now.

Possibly I fixed something that was loose or it somehow reset itself?
