Default POWER/ OFF button , when pressed in does not stay in for operation

03/17/2008

I have a Whirl pool model LHW0050PQ1 Which is three years old

When I press in thr Power on/off button, it does not stay pessed in for
operation.

When the power on/off button is pressed, all the panel lights illuminate

(start button light, rinse light, extra rinse light), but then it pops to the

off position.

I checked to make sure that the door to the frontloader is secure.
I unplugged the electrical cord and retried, but the power on/off
button continues to pop up to the off position.

Please help ! I appreciate any information.

The technician says that will cost $300 to replace the electronic
control panel .

Thank you

Here is a link to your washer model LHW0050PQ1.

Which switch on the diagram is the one that won't stay in?
