"How can the back legs be “reset” so they will “self adjust” again to a new location in the washroom. There is no obvious way to do it but I don’t believe Maytag would have made this machine to self adjust only 1 time."

You never know. It is Maytag...
Anyway, I would assume that if they can be reset it would be done by lifting the back end of the machine up and perhaps pulling down, pushing up, and/or pushing on the legs in a specific direction. The owners manual tells you nothing about it? Typical...

THE LEGS GET STUCK OVER TIME,LUBERCANT DRYS UP WHATEVER. tILT THE MACHINE TO YOU AND TAP THEM PRY WITH SCREWDRIVER WHAT EVER YOU HAVE TO DO TO MAKE THEM LOOSE AGAIN, THEN SET IT DOWN AND THEY WILL RESET TO THE SHAPE OF THE FLOOR bETTYBOOP
