I have the same issue: Tub overflows, yet spin cycle fully works (i.e. spins, drains, and stops.)
I have Kenmore 80 series, model 110.26812690.

This is either you fill valve or the pressure switch.
If you shut the washer off and the water stops coming in it is your pressure switch.
If you have to shut the water off it is your fill valve.
