Default Not rinsing prpperly
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 70
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Kenmore 70 series washer (hardly used) that recently doesn't seem to be rinsing laundry properly - it fills and agitates etc. but still leaves tons of soapy residue. Any hints as to what the problem is? Thanks so much!!

You will have to watch the washer as it goes through the cycle to make sure it is filling in the rinse cycle.

It sounds like it is not getting water in the rinse cycle.

Can you please supply your model number?

Sheila - thaks so much for your assistance - I have watched the fill cycle and all is normal - it's as if there must be a screen or something clogged to keep the suds from disipating completely. The machine sat in storage for years and currently has been running for 3mos. with three days a week use. I'm using the 2nd rinse cycle often! I am using detergent worthy of my machine and the correct amounts. It matters not also which water temp. cycle is selected. I'm baffled!

Do you have a water softener?

If you do you will have to decrease the amount of soap you use.

Also make sure that the cold and hot water hose are on the right spots.

Cold water rinse cut the suds.

When the washer start to drain watch the flow just to make sure that it is draining properly.
