Default Not maytag washer timer!!!
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lat8214aae
Age: More than 10 years

Replaced scorched timer. washer fills and thats it. at this point I think its the motor.
checked lid switch and fuse with meter aok there. Anyone know how I might check the motor to make sure???
Turning belts and pulleys by hand resultsin tub movement.
Any input is appreciated. THANX

Same syptoms before timer replacement? You may have misswired the timer, check per schematic and the wire numbers.

Not likely as the timer has a shaped plug that only plugs in a certain direction.
